Aren’t these Spirit Houses amazing? They house the spirits that would otherwise cause trouble in the main dwelling or building. Almost every home and business in Chiang Mai has one! Although the country is 90% Buddhist they still have lots of holdover from their animist ancestors. I saw everyone offering and praying to the spirits each morning! They are so beautiful!
